Awful Day Ever
It all started with a terrible case of morning hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was dashing out the door, I fell and spilled all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was totally behind schedule for work.

It all started out badly with a simple here mishap/incident/screw-up. But then everything went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
